Now, I’m not sure if I caught the whole story. I was in a local Walmart the other night, and I noticed a couple of things.
- There was a tent set up outside, and a number of campers, presumably waiting for the release of the PlayStation 3 console.
- The staff inside were telling people who asked about it that they were not giving the few consoles they managed to get to the first people in the door (like an American Walmart did). Instead, they were going to have a draw.
So, these people waiting outside are waiting in the freezing cold for a chance to win and opportunity to spend close to $700?! What the hell is going on here?
Of course, I have my doubts about whether the people out in line knew this. I mean, would you wait in the cold if it had no bearing whatsoever on your chances at success?
